Summary
In this chapter, the author talks about sexual relations between lovers. He first talked about the survey he did at the church, and conversation with his friends. And He talk about the importance of purity and tell you how. First, we need to recongize the importance of physical intimacy. Second, he urges you to set a high standard for your purity. Finally, he recommended that purity of others be prioritized. And he finished with talking about responsibility of each man and woman.
Reflection
I read up to Chpater 7 and read critically about the author’s thoughts. When I read the book, I forgot that I had to consider the times and places where the work was written. This book was written in the United Stated in the late 1990s. It is about 20 years later, but through the book, I learned about the general dating in the United States at that time, and it is time to think about how to apply it to my life. Here is the sympathy part of the author’s opinion. There are many people in the area between white and black. I often saw people in gray area. Such people are still not convinced of their beliefs, so they follow the opinions of the public and the opinions of the people around them. I also felt that the author’s basice premise was completely different from what I thought. He criticizes human nature. I am a person who am trying to understands and acknowledges human nature and considers how to utilize it. Finally, I think the writing on reponsibilitiy of man and woman are too old – fashioned. Currently, there is a debate about the right of gay and lesbians at present. I think that the taxonomy that separates men and women is an old idea. I hope that next class I will be able to talk about sexual relationship with team members.
